Amethyst Lavender Diamond Cut Faceted Rondelle by Dakota Stones

Lavender Amethyst is a transparent lavender variety of Amethyst, which forms in geodes and is generally found in clusters of crystal points. The presence of Manganese in the stone produces its color, while the amount of Iron in the stone varies its shade of purple. Amethyst has long been associated with February, the month the ancient Romans dedicated to Neptune, their water god, and it is the official birthstone of that month.  These beads are "large hole" beads that are easily strung on cord or silk or anything with a diameter not larger than 2.5 mm, if you want to use thin thread or beading wire, fill the large hole with size 8/0 seed beads which are 2.5mm beads.

These beads may not be the highest of gem grade, but they are definitely showy and beautiful in color and quality. Of all the beads I've ever purchased, I've never received such perfect beads that looked just like the photo!
